Life

The historian Joseph Zeitoun calls him "the late deacon-theologian and brilliant lawyer Spiro Jabbour", noting his interest in Antiochian documents and his French correspondence with the patriarchs of Europe [2]. He is counted among the theologians of the Antiochian Church [2].

His books include The Mystery of the Divine Economy (the Incarnation), whose introduction he signed on 25 March 1980 and whose third, revised edition appeared in 2016 [1]; and The Churches of the Middle East, in a revised edition (Koura, Lebanon, 2010) [3]. The site quotes a prayer to the Holy Spirit from The Mystery of the Divine Economy (p. 219) [1].

Where the sources disagree

The sources give no birth or death date and no city. Some call him "Father", most "Deacon".
