Life

The Gospel of John is the fourth canonical Gospel[1][2]. Tradition ascribes it to John the Apostle; most modern scholars reject this, though many see the "disciple whom Jesus loved" as a major source, and the text is internally anonymous[1][2].

English Wikipedia dates its completion to AD 90–100, likely in Ephesus[1]; Arabic Wikipedia gives roughly 90–115[2]. Its prologue identifies Jesus as the Logos and calls the Word "God", and it contains seven "I am" sayings[1].
