Life
Tradition ascribes the letter to Paul, written about AD 62 while he was a prisoner in Rome, and its first verse names him as author [1]. Many critical scholars doubt Pauline authorship and date it AD 70–100 as a circular letter [1]. Its theme is God's plan to unite all creation in Christ and the reconciliation of Jew and Gentile [1]. The site quotes 4:6: "one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
